With Martin, the beauty lies in the simplicity of design and quality of sound. The D-18 is a prime example of this formula, pairing the warmth of Mahogany and the punch of Sitka Spruce with a patented scalloped bracing system in order to create the revered Martin tone. Finished with vintage detailing like classic 18-style appointments, the D-18 is an old soul in a modern body.
Martin's Take:
Understated looks, timeless tone. The warm tone of mahogany and authentic Sitka spruce couple with resonant scalloped bracing under the hood for a sound that's honest, authoritative, and clear. Vintage details like open-geared tuners and classic 18-style appointments pair with a modern, low profile neck for an old-soul sound in a brand-new body.
