For all you Jumbo fans, Gibson's new J-185 EC Modern Walnut offers a slight change of pace, with a slightly slimmer body depth that produces an exceptionally balanced tone - the perfect compliment to the timeless style of the Jumbo body design. The J-185 EC Modern Walnut is the ideal rhythm guitar, at home in the studio thanks to an LR Baggs™ VTC pickup, and gorgeous with rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top.
Gibson's Take:
A more compact J-185 with all the beauty and style Gibson has to offer. The slightly slimmer body depth delivers an unsurpassed balance of lows, mids, and highs, with equal response to every note on the fretboard. The J-185 EC Modern is perfect for powerful rhythm guitar, studio recording, and live acoustic-electric performances. Hand built using beautiful rosewood back and sides and a Sitka spruce top.
