The sound of the Fender "tweed" amps has become a staple of modern guitar music since the last tweaks to their design were made between '55 and '57 - and the Fender '57 Custom Deluxe is an unbelievably good reissue that does more than justice to its predecessors. There's nothing fancy about the '57 Custom Deluxe: volume and tone are all you need to elicit cleans that'll blow you away, and overdrive that you would swear was coming from a 60+ year old amplifier. This is the blues-rock gigging amp that you've been waiting for.
Fender's Take:
The handwired '57 Custom Deluxe is a bit of electronic wizardry—an extraordinary amplifier with stunning clean tone and the complex, organic overdrive guitarists crave. Based on the original highly sought-after collector's piece, this two-channel combo sings and snarls with the authentic Fender sound that birthed rock 'n' roll.
