The neck is straight, the frets are still crowned, and the truss rod is functioning correctly. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.

The Custom Deluxe Stratocaster from the Fender Custom Shop borrowed some concepts from a couple of much-loved American Series guitars and took it to the Custom Shop! Built as a New Old Stock Guitar, this one still looks factory fresh thanks to being treated well by its original owner. This one is finished in Black, has a Tortoise Pickguard, and the Off-White Pickup covers and controls. This is a stand-out looking Strat!

The lightly figured maple neck is carved to a 65 C shape which is a fuller feeling profile than the Early 60's Oval C. The fingerboard radius is carved to a 9.5" with 6105 frets installed. With a slightly wider nut width of 1.6875", this is a comfy neck for anyone with some meat on their finger-bones.

Custom Shop 69 Strat Pickups take up the middle and neck positions on the Tortoise Pickguard while a Texas Special is installed in the bridge position. (reverse wound middle pickup so it's noiseless in the 2 and 4 positions on the toggle switch). This is a brilliant combo as the 69 bridge pickup gets a bit thin and harsh while the Texas Special is anything but! With easy to navigate on-board controls, finding the tone you are searching for is easy.

The Music Gallery has been a Fender Custom Shop dealer since it's formation in 1987.
