It's a Custom Telecaster so it's bound on the top and back. It's finished in Black and with that binding, we get a classier appearance than your basic Tele. This one is New Old Stock, so Glossy as can be and ready for you to do the aging the original way.

Some notable things to mention up front. This guitar was part of the Custom Shop's 2018 Collection. It's a cool guitar so we continue to order them. It has Plum Colored sides, which is tough to see in the pictures. This was something done for a short while in Fender's history and we dig it!

The neck is carved to a 59 Large C Profile. The neck is made from Riftsawn Maple and a AAA Rosewood Fingerboard. The fingerboard itself features a compound radius of 7.25" to 9.5". This is a subtle shift but a VERY comfortable one. The 7.25" when set up properly is fantastic, especially in the lower fret positions. That's EXACTLY what we have here. And just when you would want the fretboard to flatten out a little more so those big bends and bends sign with sustain, IT DOES! Compound Radius = Complete Playing Guitar.

A Set of Hand Wound 58 Telecaster Pickups are tied to a master volume, master tone and three way toggle. Combined with the Alder/Rosewood/Maple construction this is the PERFECT Rock n' Roll Telecaster.

The Music Gallery has been a Fender Custom Shop dealer since their formation in 1987.
